Today marks another year in her absence .
The absence of someone who loved me, cheered
for me and who taught me that I could fly .
She was more confident then me and my ability .
She was standing before I could sense that challenges are coming my way .
It took years for me to understand that I could fly , and when i did , she was not there to see .
