Maid

I was alone at home yesterday . My maid is a middle aged women , down to earth , simple and with great attitude . I was too in the kitchen and she told me her story . Not more than 15 minutes , but it was too emotional . 

Her husband was suffering from heart blockage .7 years back , when things were too bad , she decided to go for a heart surgery for him . Took him to AIIMS . Things didn’t turned well. Operation was performed  with support from the society members who contributed money for her .

After 3 days , his condition degraded  . She finally decided to take him to ESCORT heart institute . Looking at the condition and financial status , one of the senior doctor called her in and asked , if I perform this operation free of cost, will you be able to keep your husband alive as it would need close to Rs 3000 / month for the next 5 years .

She just saw at the sindor and the bangle in her hand , life spend so far and her love for him , prayed and said "Yes"

Its almost 7 years now , her husband has not moved out from home . This lady is alone handling all the activities , and her love and dedication has kept him alive .

I was moved by the emotional bond she has with him .

Its so true again , happiness doesn’t comes from money , its all in the feel and the connect you have with your loved ones .

Her respect in my mind has increased many fold .
